[Personality]
America is a loud mouth first and for most. He rarely thinks about what he’s saying or doing. When he’s first introduced, he doesn’t stop eating when he’s explaining his plan of attack. He’s a glutton for hamburgers and milk shakes, which he often either asks for or randomly has of out nowhere. America’s gluttony is shown even more in “A friend Of America’s Boss” when he can’t even stop eating enough to talk and chokes. When he was a little kid he had no sense of taste, and would eat England’s awful cooking over France’s.
He lacks any kind of manners when dealing with other people, rather going for being over the top. He doesn’t see any problem with it either. He’s not afraid of saying what’s on his mind either. He really enjoys pocking fun at England for thinking he’s better.
It doesn’t make him upset that he doesn’t have any close friends other then his Alien friend, Tony. When he was little he used to have a lot of animal friends, but not anymore. He’s happy the way he is, but he will relax around others such as Japan and Lithuania. He’s okay with the others nations, but doesn't get too close to them often.
America likes to be relaxed and the awesome hero that he thinks he is. He’s really lazy and it shows when he has to google where France is located. It only map that he has is that of Alfred. He really is completely clueless about the rest of the world and what happens outside of his little bubble.
Just like all the other nations, he can completely forget when Canada is in the room, as shown in the strip “The Sixth Man”. America may think the world of Canada as a place, but he can be in the room with his brother and not even realize it’s him. In “Legendary Tales Of Canada” he loves reading a book about Canada’s people while he is being feed by Canada, but only noticed that the guy feeding him IS Canada at the end. Alfred isn’t really sure what Canada’s problem is with him, so he finds the other nation confusing some times. He thinks that Canada looks better as America though! This is shown when he slaps an American flag over the maple leaf on Canada’s head in “Don’t Give up, Canada! I’m Going To Assert Myself!” He thinks most things look better with an American flag on it though.
Alfred is really fast, and can’t stand people who can’t keep up with him. This is also shown in “Don’t Give up, Canada! I’m Going To Assert Myself!” strip when he tries to play catch with Canada, but America just keeps hitting him with the ball instead since the other can’t keep up. He has good reflexes though, and blocks all of Canada’s punches when he gets made.
In “Ghost Hotel” America frightens very easily at a scary movie, but shows off his inability to notice what’s around him by ignoring a ghost right behind him until it tells Alfred that he’s there. Alfred is just fine with gore though, which is shown in “American Ghosts”.
America has always hated the way England treated him as well, which can be seen in the “You Were So Cute Back In The Day” strip where even as I child Alfred told England to drop dead. In “America Cleans Out His Closet” It reveals that America can have more serious feelings. When he’s looking over his old thing, such as toys and an old jacket, Alfred is reminded of the time he was under England’s Rule. Even though it makes America sad to think about how they broke apart, he still has a soft spot for the grumpy older nation. He’s still not going to say it to England’s face though. America can still be a jerk to England though, like when he used death to make England stop his dramatics during “A Touching Conversation Ruined”. Alfred’s actions show and underling sense that he does care, since he took the time to make sure England got out of his slump.
America’s big ego is really shown off in “☺ In The World” because he doesn’t listen to anyone and just barks out orders. They do listen though, so it only feeds Alfred’s ego more. He’s terrible at keeping secrets, which shows in the strip “Hello World! Hello Italy! Do As I Say, Not As I Do”.
When America was visiting Japan, he was trying to just have fun with him, but he ended up feeling sorry for Japan! It showed America’s kinder side when he finds that someone does want to have him as a friend. In “Battle For A New World” It shows that Alfred was a very small and timid child. He eventually found his way, but wasn’t loud right away. He picked England as his big brother because he was upset, which showed his kinder side as well.
America hates the winter, and becomes very restless. He wants to stay in the sun and be warm and happy! He becomes even more annoying to the people around him. The only part that he does like about winter is Christmas!

America is really strong and can lift objects that look like he couldn’t. He is a country and cannot die either. He can eat a ton of food and not gain a pound. He has super fast reflexes as well. He only gets hurt or sick when something bad is happening to his people.

America really loved to walk along the streets of Washington DC, admiring the landmarks and awesome weather! Since the elections were going on, there wasn’t much for Alfred to do around the capital. It was mostly a show of who was better and what not. Even the president didn’t have enough time for him. Everything stopped when stuff like this happened. Whatever, it was their loss. America was GREAT at being awesome and those old guys were just missing out on his influence. He could help them win those in a heartbeat! Though, really that wouldn’t be fair, right? Whatever; America just shrugged.
Alfred wondered what the other nations were doing for a moment. England was probably being stupid. It made America chuckle; the stupid old man. Whatever. He would be back to being the Hero soon enough. Home came first though.
America wound up walking down one of the side streets to get to the Jefferson memorial, which was a good thing! As he turned one of the corners, he spotted a mugging in progress! “Hey! Stop in the name of Justice!” Alfred yelled out as he ran right at the guy. He didn’t even care that there was a knife in mugger’s hand; one of his people was in trouble! He tackled the guy in a flash and pinned him down, punching him square in the jaw in a second. “What is the big idea?! This is your Capital!! Heroes are here!” Alfred was shaking the mugger, but the guy was out cold thanks to the punch to the jaw. “Oh…” Alfred just scratched his head and looked up at the now terrified woman, clinging to her purse. “Forgot my own strength.” He laughed a little and brushed himself off. He gave her a winning grin though. “America was here to protect you though!!” The woman just nodded with a grateful smile, said thank you, and walked off, muttering something about over the top and crazy. “Once again the Hero is here to save the day! Now it’s time to celebrate!” Pulling out a cheeseburger from his pocket, America started down the street again, a skip in his steep.
